DELETTI / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Deletti is an iPhone and iPad app that helps you find the photos and videos that take space in Apple Photos, so you can delete them. This policy explains what the app does with your information, and how this website and email support work.
The short version
- Your photos and videos are analyzed on your device. They never leave it because of Deletti.
- Deletti has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It has no server of its own.
- Apple handles purchases. I never see your payment details or your Apple Account.
- I only receive what you send me by email.
Who is responsible
Deletti is made by Volodymyr Zorin, an individual developer in Ukraine, under the name Zorrin Apps. In this policy, “I” and “me” refer to the developer. For any privacy question or request, write to support@zorrinapps.com.
Access to Apple Photos
Deletti asks for permission to read and change your photo library. It needs this permission to show your media, sort it by size, group similar shots and delete the items you choose.
You decide how much Deletti can see. With full access, it works with your whole library. With limited access, it works only with the items you selected. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
Deletti reads the information that Apple Photos keeps for each item. This includes file sizes, dates, dimensions, duration, media type, favorite status and the place where the item is stored. Some photos and videos already contain a capture location. Deletti reads it only to show it in the item’s details. Deletti does not track your location.
Analysis on your device
Deletti uses Apple’s Vision framework to compare photos, find similar shots and suggest the best one in a group. All of this work runs on your device.
- To find similar photos, Deletti computes a visual fingerprint of each image. It keeps only the resulting groups, not the fingerprints.
- To suggest the best shot, Deletti scores image quality. If a photo shows faces, it counts them and rates how clear each face is, for example closed eyes or blur.
- Deletti does not recognize or identify people. It does not build face templates, and it does not compare faces across photos.
No photo, video, fingerprint, score or other analysis result is sent to me or to any third party.
Data stored on your device
Deletti keeps working data on your device, so you can continue where you stopped. This data includes:
- your preferences and filter settings;
- identifiers of photos and videos, as Apple Photos provides them;
- classification results, similar photo groups and quality scores;
- your decisions, such as items in Deletti’s Trash, items you kept or liked, and your place in each set;
- game progress and the totals of space you freed.
Deletti also reads the free space on your device to show storage figures. When you share or trim a video, the system can create a temporary copy, which it clears later.
When you delete Deletti, iOS removes this data. Your device backups can still contain a copy, under your backup settings.
One item is an exception. Deletti stores the number of files you deleted in the free version in the iOS Keychain on your device. This number stays when you delete and reinstall the app, so the free limit stays the same. It contains only a number, it does not sync to iCloud Keychain, and it does not move to a new device.
When Deletti uses the network
Deletti does not send your data to me. Some features use Apple services, which Apple operates under the Apple Privacy Policy:
- iCloud Photos. If an original is stored in iCloud, Apple Photos can download it to show a preview, play a video, share it or trim it.
- Place names. When you open the details of a video that has a capture location, Deletti asks Apple Maps for the name of that place. Apple receives only the coordinates.
- App Store. Deletti asks the App Store for prices, purchases and the status of your plan.
Purchases
Apple processes every purchase of Deletti Pro. I do not receive your name, email address, Apple Account or payment details. Deletti asks the App Store on your device whether you have an active plan, and it does not save a copy.
Apple gives developers sales reports. If you allow Apple to share analytics with app developers, Apple can also give me aggregated usage statistics. These reports do not identify you.
Changes you make in Apple Photos
When you confirm a deletion, Deletti asks Apple Photos to delete the selected items. If you use iCloud Photos, the deletion syncs to your other devices. When you mark a favorite, Deletti changes that status in Apple Photos. When you save a trimmed video, Deletti adds a new video to Apple Photos.
When you share, you choose the destination in the system share sheet. That app or service handles the shared content under its own privacy policy.
Email support
If you write to support, I receive your email address, your message and any attachments. I use them only to answer you and to fix the problem you report. Please do not attach private photos unless they are needed to explain the problem.
My email runs on hosting.com. I keep support messages for 12 months after my last reply, then I delete them. You can ask me to delete them earlier.
This website
This website does not use cookies, browser storage, analytics or third party scripts. Its images and styles come from the same server. Links to the App Store or Apple Support take you to services with their own privacy policies.
The website runs on hosting.com. Like every web server, it records technical data for each request, such as the IP address, time, requested page and browser type. hosting.com uses these logs to deliver and protect the website and keeps them for a limited time. I do not use them to identify visitors.
Sharing and selling
I do not sell, rent or share your personal data. I do not use it for advertising. The only service provider that handles data for me is hosting.com, which stores support email and website logs. Its servers can be located outside your country, including in the United States.
Legal basis
If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, I rely on these legal bases:
- to answer your support messages, my legitimate interest in helping my users, or the performance of a contract when you write about a purchase;
- to run and protect this website, my legitimate interest in a working and secure website.
The analysis of your photos happens only on your device, and the results never reach me.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask me to access, correct, delete or export the personal data I hold about you. You can also object to its use or ask me to restrict it. In practice, I hold only your support emails.
To make a request, write to support@zorrinapps.com. I answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
The data that Deletti keeps on your device is under your control. To remove it, delete the app. To stop Deletti from reading your library, turn off Photos access in Settings.
Children
Deletti is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal data from anyone. If you think a child sent me personal data by email, contact me and I will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If Deletti starts to handle data in a new way, I will update this policy before the change and revise the date at the top.
